How to Prepare Your Artwork

Correct preparation is key to sharp, vibrant, and professional DTF prints. Follow this guide for the best results.

RECOMMENDED FILE FORMATS

📄
MOST POPULAR

PNG Files

Must have a Transparent Background.

Minimum Resolution: 300 DPI.

Ideal for uploading individual images to our builder.

📐
VECTOR

SVG Files

Should contain only Vector Graphics.

All fonts must be converted to shapes/outlines.

Avoid embedded bitmap images inside SVGs.

Common Issue: Canva & Online Tools

Many online tools export at 72–96 DPI (screen quality), which is too low for printing.

The Fix: Always export as "High Quality PDF" or increase download settings to maximum quality before converting to PNG. Upscaling low-res files later will reduce quality.

Key Artwork Guidelines

1. Resolution (300 DPI)

Our Gangsheet Builder generates sheets at 300 DPI. Low-resolution images will look pixelated or blurry. Always use high-resolution PNGs or scalable SVGs for crisp details.

2. Background Transparency

Transparent areas allow garment colors to show through. Avoid JPG/JPEG files as they do not support transparency (white backgrounds will be printed!). Use PNG or SVG.

3. Color Management (RGB vs CMYK)

Printers use CMYK, while screens use RGB. Colors may appear slightly different when printed. Our software optimizes your artwork for the best possible colour match.
